LIMITED WARRANTY

Red Dot Reels warranty service center in the United States provides warranty service within the Unites States and Canadian regions. International customers should contact us for other instructions.

Red Dot Reels warrants to the original user only, that its products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover normal expected wear, missing parts, damage or malfunctions due to abuse, neglect, misuse, accidents or malfunctions caused by inadequate repair or alterations not performed by Red Dot Reels. Alterations or repairs by anyone other than Red Dot or Red Dot's authorized agent shall void the warranty.

CUSTOMER REMEDIES

Your sole remedy under this warranty is that Red Dot Reels will correct or replace any item which has a defect within the warranty period. To file under this warranty, you must return the defective reel to Red Dot Reels in accord with its RETURN MERCHANDISE POLICIES, which requires, among other things:    

  • that you obtain a Return Authorization Number ( RA - by U.S.P.S., RED DOT REELS WARRANTY & REPAIR, 1416 Tara St., HOUMA, LA  70363, or e-mail to Warranty and Repairs  ) before sending the item to Red Dot Reels. You must describe the malfunction.

  • that proof of purchase of the product be included (cash register receipt showing date of purchase, seller [if a guide or other authorized Red Dot representative], amount paid and where you bought it), and, if you purchased the reel on line from Red Dot or any Red Dot authorized on line dealer that you include those details

  • that you pay return shipping and handling charges of $8.00

  • the reel should be returned to us in its original container / box if possible.

Red Dot Reels will, at its sole and exclusive option, either repair or replace the reel with a functionally equivalent reel.

THE ABOVE WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. NO ORAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION OR ADVICE GIVEN BY RED DOT REELS, ITS EMPLOYEES, DISTRIBUTORS, DEALERS, FISHING GUIDES OR AGENTS SHALL INCREASE THE SCOPE OF THE ABOVE WARRANTIES OR CREATE ANY NEW WARRANTIES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN THAT EVENT, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE OF THE PRODUCT. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

LIMITATION OF REMEDIES

REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ANY REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN FAILS ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, IN NO EVENT WILL RED DOT REELS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT OR OTHER DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT, EVEN IF RED DOT REELS OR ANYONE ELSE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY OTHER PARTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN NO CASE SHALL RED DOT REELS LIABILITY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.

 

Reel Warranty

 Red Dot Reels LIMITED WARRANTY (U.S.A./Canada)

Red Dot Reels reels are covered by a limited warranty (to the original purchaser) against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year.  Should damage occur due to a manufacturers defect during the initial warranty period, Red Dot Reels will, at the company's discretion, either repair or replace the product at no charge.  Damage resulting from alteration, accident, neglect, or normal wear and tear will, at the company's discretion, be repaired or replaced for a nominal fee.  This warranty is only valid to the original owner and does not extend to products purchased for commercial or rental applications. Roller bearings and ball bearings are NOT covered under this warranty unless the product is under 120 days old. An RA (return authorization) number is required prior to shipping your product. ( see below ) Please contact us for an RA number by U.S.P.S. or by e-mail ( Warranty and Repairs  ) RED DOT REELS WARRANTY & REPAIR, 1416 Tara St., HOUMA, LA  70363. 

 

In addition, a check for $8.00 to cover return shipping and handling should be enclosed. Red Dot Reels not covered under this warranty may be repaired at a nominal charge, plus shipping and handling.  Customers will be contacted with a complete estimate prior to any repairs being performed. Make sure that you include all contact information including home, work and cell phone numbers and your email address.

 

RETURN MERCHANDISE POLICY

Please follow all directions carefully:

  • Prior to returning any product for warranty or repair, please e-mail us, Warranty and Repairs  or write to us at RED DOT REELS WARRANTY & REPAIR, 1416 Tara St., HOUMA, LA  70363  to obtain an Return Authorization (RA) number.  This number should be placed on the outside of the box and easily identified. You must also include a written description of the problem and identify what caused the problem if you know. Your name, address, city, state, zip and all phone numbers including area code and RA number must be on all documentation. Including your e-mail address will expedite this process (if you want to be contacted via e-mail).

  • To protect against lost or damaged items, all products should be carefully re-packaged in the original container which should be packaged in another larger container. The package should be insured prior to shipping. We ask that you keep all shipping receipts and tracking numbers in case a claim is necessary against the shipping company. Red Dot Reels is not responsible for shipping damage or lost or stolen items that occur (during shipping).

  • Please include a copy of your proof of purchase and a brief statement pertaining to the problems you are encountering.  Proof of purchase MUST be the original cash register receipt or hand written receipt issued by a Red Dot authorized representative (or a legible, clear copy) showing the date of purchase, who you purchased the reel from, cost and item purchased (identifying the product). 

  •  A check for $8.00 to cover return shipping and handling is required. Make all checks payable to Red Dot Reels.  If your reel is covered under warranty we will return your check with your repaired reel.

 This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights,
which vary from state to state.
